This week I bring you Craspedia (aka billy buttons or billy balls) - these guys are just great and bring a pop of vibrant yellow into an autumn, spring or summer bouquet.
They are great to work with and they last so well out of water - to prolong the enjoyment of these flowers that are a genus of the daisy family they dry super easy too - retaining almost all of their colour pigment too. So if you receive any craspedia in a bouquet I urge you to dry them after your blooms have finished and pop them in a small vase for a really easy, long lasting dried flower display.
This powerful yellow ball of flower loveliness symbolizes good health - which we could all do with in current times!
Other flowery goings on this week include........
Another haul of these beautiful blooms went out to my subscribers for Novembers subscription flowers - I love how the changing seasons contribute to the colours, flower choices and textures of all the bouquets. Next month will definitely have a festive vibe - if you want to find out more please do get in touch, I am always up for a chat a
