Wow - I can't believe my last blog post was in April - big fail on my promise to write a blog each month.
So why so quiet??
I am feeling totally inspired by all the lovely people I am meeting through my business, I just havn't had enough time in the day to write a blog while creating bespoke wedding moodboards, meetings, site visits oh and the actual Weddings themselves!
I have also launched an idea that has been so close to my heart - my fully biodegradable Funeral Designs - with a brand new logo, and new brochure to design my time has been limited I apologize!!
So how is the cutting patch??
I am so pleased with how much it has matured this year and how I have been able to incorporate some quirky different flowers and foliage into my designs - the herbs being a huge star !! The amount of comments I have received about the scent of my floral designs is awesome!!
The sweet peas are in full bloom now along with my star sunflowers plus lots lots more!! The weather is hard (but amazing!!) The flowers are loving the sunshine but need a whole lot of water to keep them happy!
As my weddings are getting bigger my poor cutting patch cannot supply them alone. I have ordered some amazing blooms from West End Flower Farm www.westendflowerfarm.co.uk - about a 40 minute drive from where I am based but oh so worth it!! No minimum order and Bella who owns and runs the farm with her lovely family sells to members of the public as well as florists.
Above are a few of my biodegradable funeral tribute designs which have proved very popular with people becoming more ecologically conscious -The Southern Co-Op funeral Branches have kindly agreed to trial my brochures for 6 months to see how well their clients like them - please if you know anyone who is in the need for funeral flowers urge them towards this new way of floral design. If we can start making a change now it will help us all for the future - including our bees! Who love the nectar of our home grown flowers.
One Last beautiful image to share is that taken by the incredible By Vicki photography www.photographybyvicki.co.uk
